Cosmetic Launch Roundup: January 16-31, 2023

Edge Beauty brightened the weeks with two new products. First, the Drip Drop Glossy Lip Balms slid into our makeup collections. The 5 luscious balms have a sheer formula, are $8 each, and named Come Plum Me (plum/dark purple), Ripped Raspberry (dark red), Gimme Guava (hot pink), Very Cherry (orange-red), Imma Peach (peach), and Watermelon Whip (baby pink).

Then three new shades were added to the popular Dream Jelly collection. The new glitter gel shades are Rose Remix (light pink), Daddy Bear (copper), and Cuff Play (silver). You can pick your shade for $15. Every product is up for grabs on Edge Beauty’s website.

Blend Bunny Cosmetics answered the call from the deep sea and crafted the gorgeous mermaid-inspired Lure eyeshadow palette and Trove multichrome quad. The 24 shades in Lure ($46) absolutely transport you to the gentle lull of the sea with the beautiful sea greens and teals while the pinks/purples allude to the mermaids seeking to disarm you with their charm. 

Trove ($68) has 4 multichrome shades that add flawless dimension to any eyeshadow look as each shade can shift between three and four colors. Both palettes are available on Blend Bunny Cosmetics’ site.

Colourpop was aflutter with love and released the Flirty Talk collection for Valentine’s Day. The amorous collection includes the 12-pan Flirty Talk palette ($18), 5 Heart Compact Highlighters ($12 each), 4 Heart Compact Blushes ($12 each), 3 Glowing Lips ($8 each), 2 QT Mark Face Stamps ($9 each), and a full collection set ($149). Metamorphosis Bf went bananas on complexions with the adorable Nanas Collection. The monkey-themed collection features 3 Matte Setting Powders ($14.99 each), Heart Face Mirror ($11.99), a Powder Puff ($4.99), and a full collection bundle ($59.99). Barry M delivered its promise of pigment with the dynamic Glide On Lip Cremes. The five shades (3 metallic mattes and 2 glosses) deliver a burst of color. Mulberry Mood (matte purple), Rich Bronze (matte bronze), Lavender Crush (matte lilac), Mauve Candy (pink gloss), and Caramel Dream (nude gloss) are $7.41 USD each and available on Barry M’s website.

Rude Cosmetics had us yearning for spring with the Flower Love collection. The floral collection includes two eyeshadow palettes with 35 shades each. Florist is a myriad of colors, from yellows to reds to blues. Gardener is earthy with its warm neutrals and pops of color. Choose your palette for $24 on Rude Cosmetics’ website.

Aisuri Beauty made wispy lashes the trend for Valentine’s Day with the cute Soft Doll Lash Set. There are 5 different lash styles that complement any flirty eyeshadow look you can conjure during the season of love. Get the set for $18.99 online.

Made By Mitchell strutted through the end of the month and turned heads with the mesmerizing Rainbow Liner collection. The 7 shades are plucked from the rainbow and deliver pigment for days. Each shade is $16 on Made By Mitchell’s site.

Hipdot collaborated with two iconic rock bands who happen to be touring this summer. Korn was the first announced; Hipdot x Korn created a palette embodying the band’s Follow The Leader album; the palette is a mix of neutrals and metals for a grunge palette of your dreams. 

This was followed by the announcement of Hipdot x Evanescence’s palette, name after the band’s debut album Fallen. This eyeshadow palette takes the album’s blue and black theme and recreates it perfectly. Each palette is $22 online.

Beauty Creations took us back to the early 2000s with the Babygirl collection. Inspired by the incomparable velour tracksuits, this collection includes 2 Lash Duos (No Simpin’ and Lost In Luv; $12 each), 2 Lip Duos (Kiss N’ Tell and Always & Forever; $12 each), Pink Duo set ($22), Purple Duo set ($22), and a PR Box ($49). E.l.f Cosmetics’ slogan for 2023 comes through with its Good Vibes Only collection. The bright collection features the Good Vibes eyeshadow palette (2 color variations; $4 each), 3-piece Brush Set ($10), Soft Velvet Primer ($10), Shroom Lip Balm ($5), Cleansing Cloud ($4), and Nail Stickers ($4). Good Vibes is sold online and in Walmart stores.

Makeup Revolution collaborated with Disney once again but this time with one of my personal faves, Minnie Mouse. Revolution x Minnie Mouse includes All Eyes On Minnie eye/face palette ($20), Lip Gloss Trio ($10), Steal The Show Blush Duo ($9), Minnie Forever Highlight Duo ($9), Headband ($7), Brush Set+Bag ($12), Liquid Eyeshadow Duo ($9), 6 Go With The Bow Eye Patches ($8), Wink Wink Lashes ($7), and Always In Style False Nails ($7). Arttitude Cosmetics mixed makeup and skincare into the delectable Just Juicy Lip Oils. A textured blend between balm and gloss, these oils come in 6 flavors; Cheeky Cherry, Wicked Watermelon, Perfect Pomegranate, Pretty Passion Fruit, Coconut Craze, and Gorgeous Grape. Each shade is $13 plus there is a bundle of all 6 for $66 USD on Arttitude’s website.

BH Cosmetics’ Travel Series expanded into the complexion territory with the Face Quads. Each of the three palettes is named after and inspired by a city; Hot In Havana (medium to deep), Cute In Cabo (tan/medium), and Tempting In Tahiti (fair to light). Each quad is $8 online.

Playing In Makeup By Yolondo created the sister palette to its bestselling Jamrock palette. The Jamrock 2 Matte palette features 30 stunning shades ranging from pretty pastels to bold neutrals for a gorgeous color story. Get the palette for $45 on PIMBY’s website.

Jcat Beauty electrified the eyeliner game with the hypnotic Chromatic Shock 23/7 Xtreme Liners. The 8 shades are smudge-proof and long-lasting. Some shades offer a gorgeous shimmer and others have a shifting effect. Each shade is $6.99 on Jcat Beauty’s site.

Simply Posh Cosmetics had us craving berries in winter with the luscious Berry Icy palette. The beautiful 18-pan color story is all berry tones, from ice blues to warm reds. Berry Icy is $45 online.

Moira Beauty ensured their lipsticks would be must-haves in any collection with the chic Signature Lipstick collection. The 12 shades complement every skin tone, with shades ranging from nudes to dark reds, with a balm texture. Each lipstick is $7.50 or you can get the bundle for $80 on Moira’s site.

Kimchi Chic Beauty prepared for Valentine’s Day with the adorable Spinning Hearts Duos. The 13 colorful eyeshadow duo palettes with shades complement each other. Each duo is $8 and there is a bundle option for $88 on KCB’s website.

Beauty Bay got groovy with the Retro Love eyeshadow palette. The 20-pan palette serves psychedelic shades and vibes with teals, yellows, neutrals, and purples. Retro Love is $17 USD on Beauty Bay’s site.

      When Blend Bunny revealed the collection, I was floored. The Lure palette is so pretty and the Trove palette complements it well. I have the Jcat liners on my list 🙂
