Cosmetic Launch Roundup: February 15-21, 2022

Cxc Beauty curated the prettiest purple palette from existing shades in its repertoire. New Waves is an exquisite blend of mattes, shimmers, and duochromes for a variety of purple-based looks. New Waves is $54 on Cxc’s website.

Rude Cosmetics had us wishing it was summer with its launch of The Sun. This vivacious palette features 24 matte and shimmer shades plus 5 water-activated liners, all for $24 on Rude’s site.

Kara Beauty teased its latest palette in the zodiac series, this time kicking off the watery Pisces season. Pisces is mermaid-themed with 10 shades of blues and purples. Pisces will be $16.99 online.

Taylo Beauty expanded its adorable inventory with two new lipsticks and a new lash style. The new Anime Matte Lipstick shades are Wampire (black) and Nose Bleed (red), $10.99 each. Maid Service is the new dainty and natural lash style, retailing for $14.25. All three products are available on Taylo’s website.

Makeup Revolution whipped up a new collab collection with Nikki Lilly. MUR x Nikki Lilly’s breakfast-themed collection features the Sweet Neutrals eyeshadow palette ($12), Candy Tones eyeshadow palette ($12), Coffee Cup blush & highlighter palette ($25), and Juicy Bomb lip oil set ($14). You can get this delicious collection on Makeup Revolution’s website and on Ulta Beauty’s website.

Colourpop started the second round of the draft with two new additions to the Colourpop x NBA collection. The two teams joining the fam are the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets, with each team getting an eyeshadow palette ($16), Creme Gel liner kit ($15), Glitter Gel ($10), and Makeup bag ($15). Both teams have their own full collection ($59) and PR set ($63) online.

Kimchi Chic Beauty upped the brow game with the Kim Browly collection. These brow powders come in four shade variations (light, light-medium, medium-deep, deep), with each compact having two powders and a wax to shape your brows. Grab your perfect match for $15 on Kimchi Chic’s website.

Moira Beauty’s Dream Canvas Primer Balms made color correcting and prepping your face easier. There are three correcting shades (green, yellow, and orange) and one translucent shade to apply after blending the corrector. You can pick your balm (or balms) on Moira’s site for $10 each.

Juvia’s Place took inspiration from West African masks and crafted the absolutely gorgeous Culture Collection. The vivid collection features the 30-pan Culture eyeshadow palette ($36), 4 Duochrome Liquid Eyeshadows ($15 each; Fula, Ankara, AfroChella, Kente), and a bundle of the palette and the liquid shadows ($96). Culture Collection is sold online.

Saucebox Cosmetics combined tarot and makeup in the bewitching Major Arcana collection. There are three eyeshadow palettes, each named for a major arcana tarot card; The Magician (warm-toned neutrals), The Lovers (pastels), and The Moon (cool-toned neutrals). Each palette is $25 or you could go for the bundle ($60) on Saucebox’s site.

Lurella Cosmetics sweetened the week with the fabulous Queen Bee eyeshadow palette. Perfect for spring, this 9-pan palette features a beautiful mix of yellows and browns, all for $12 on Lurella’s website.

Profusion Cosmetics released several items to celebrate the upcoming spring season. The newbies are: 6 Blush Hour Soft Matte Blushes ($6 each), 6 Perfect Pout Lip Tints ($5 each), 3 Bright Lights Pastel Liners ($5 each), 3 Bright Lights Neon Liners ($5), 2 Blooming Hues palettes ($6 each; Delightful Dahlia and Terrific Tulip), and 2 Pigment Bases ($5 each; white and neutral). All products are available on Profusion’s site and at Walmart.

Lip Bully said “why not both” to end the debate of using gloss or matte lipsticks, creating the Lip Switches. These dual-ended lippies come in 5 versions with one side featuring a matte lipstick and a complementary gloss shade. Each Lip Switch retails for $15 online.

Ruby May Cosmetics collaborated with drag queen extraordinaire Fabeyonce to create the fierce Fabeyonce palette. Featuring 13 eyeshadows, 1 highlight, and 2 contour shades, this palette’s artwork is adorned by Fabeyonce. Get the palette for $39 online.
