Cosmetic Launch Roundup: August 17-24, 2020

August has been an interesting month for releases. There have been a lot of lip products released and the usual palettes but there is just something about this week… I’ll let you figure it out by reading this post.

90’s Baby Cosmetics latest throwback is the era of visiting arcades for the latest editions of Pac Man, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and more. The Arcade Classics eyeshadow palette features 15 vivid shades named after classic games, all for $32 online. The brand has offered the code “90SBABY” that makes the palette $25.

Eunique Beauty made its debut here on the Roundup and their new collection gives off The Devil Wears Prada vibes. The Beauty Trends mini eyeshadow palettes come in three variations and feature magazine-esque artwork. The palettes (Fashionista, Girls Trip, and Night Life) cost $18 each or you can get the PR collection box for $60. Pick your fave magazine on Eunique’s site.

Colourpop and nature have been a constant pairing so the new collection is no surprise. The Sunflower collection includes the Lil Ray of Sunshine eyeshadow palette ($14), 2 Creme Gel Liners ($6 each), 2 Super Shock Shadows ($6 each or $10 bundled), 2 Ultra Glossy Lips ($7 each), SolBody’s Lemon Drop shimmer oil ($10), Fourth Ray Beauty’s Glow Up Face Oil ($10), or the full collection for $65. Hipdot Cosmetics launched its Creator series and the first beauty influencer the brand collaborated with is Kareem Maliek Rogers a.k.a FacedbyKareem. Kareem’s collection features a palette, brush set ($14), and a blending sponge ($8). The eyeshadow palette ($26) has shades that are universally flattering for each skin tone while also being useful for eyes, face, and brows. There is also a bundle option called GLOWGAWD ($50)  The Hipdot x FacedbyKareem collab is available on the brand’s site.

Catrice Cosmetics added three new shades to the Volumizing Lip Booster line. The three new shades are Rosewood Hills, Sucker for Rose, and Everyone’s Nude. The newbies (and other 9 shades) are available on Catrice’s site for $5 each.

Kaleido Cosmetics focus remained on the lips this week and gave us the Lip Mask Gel. The leave-on mask conditions and replenishes moisture in the lips while reducing the appearance of fine lines. The Lip Mask Gel costs $24 on Kaleido’s website.

BH Cosmetics showed some love to the Windy City with the Chicago collection. The collection features the 16-pan eyeshadow palette and a 7-piece eye brush set. Both items are available on Ulta’s website.

Rosewood Cosmetics ushered in the fall season with their Fall/Winter Gloss collection. There are 22 beautiful lip gloss shades to choose from, each retailing for $6. Select your faves on Rosewood’s website.

Colourtory Cosmetics finally launched its anticipated UV pastel liner palette. Sweet Paradise features 8 pastel shades and costs $28 on the brand’s site. You can also use my code “AJmonique8” to save 10% on your order.
