Cosmetics Launch Roundup: August 9-16, 2020

Things are getting ever hotter during the hottest part of the year. This week saw an interesting variety of products and brands. One thing we know for sure is the beauty industry truly doesn’t sleep.

Moira Cosmetics added to the Cheek Duos. There are two new blush duos (Love Recipe and Forever Bloom) and two bronzer duos (Summer Wishes and Sounds of Waves). Each duo is $7 on Moira’s site.

Proper Fix Cosmetics launched its first eyeshadow palette, Matte Down. Composed of 18 bold and pigmented shades, the palette is completely matte and costs $28 on the brand’s site.

Colourpop collaborated with the popular board game Candyland for a dreamy collection. Colourpop x Candyland features the Candy Castle palette ($18), Princess Lolly roller gloss ($9), 3 Super Shock Blushes ($9 each), 3 Glowing Lip Balms ($9 each), Queen Frostine Pixie Puff highlighter ($15), Feelin Plumpy face milk set (FourthRayBeauty set; $22). There are two collection sets, The Full ($118) or the PR set ($145). Everything is available on Colourpop’s site.

Mamacita Cosmetics stayed busy all summer and these new liner bundles joined the fam. The three bundles are Retro Liner, Colourburst Liner, and Metallic Liner. Each bundle is $20 and up for grabs on Mamacita’s website.

Ccolor Cosmetics launched two stunning palettes, Cabana and Jungle Fever. These palettes are $10 each and as you may know, Ccolor gives us some of the best dupes. Cabana is a dupe for the ABH Riviera palette while Jungle Fever is the second original palette from the brand. Shop the palettes on Ccolor’s site.

IBY Beauty invited us to sunday brunch with their new palette. Sunday Brunch features 16 beautiful, warm toned shades and fabulous artwork on the packaging. You can have Sunday Brunch for $20 on IBY’s website.

Midas Cosmetics finally launched its Dusk to Dawn Collection, created in collaboration with beauty influencer Darius McKiver (a.k.a NeonMUA). The four palettes were created to give each skin tone their correct color of contour, highlight, blush, and bronzer. The palettes are Dawn (fair/light skin tones), Noon (medium to tan), Dusk (rich skin tones), and Midnight (deeply rich). Each palette costs $36 and there is a PR box option for $42. Become Beauty Queens has lip gloss for days. The Gloss Goddess collection features 9 shades, each costing $6.99. The colors range from clear to pinks to luscious reds. The Gloss Goddess lippies are available online.

Playing In Makeup by Yolondo made its debut on the Roundup with Yolondo’s Bloom Blush palette. This stunning 8-pan blush palette has a nice range of colors, including the pop of yellow. Yolondo’s Bloom is available online for $32.

Kimchi Chic Beauty expanded its Pot De Creme and Diamond Shart liquid eyeshadow shade ranges plus they added two new palettes to the fam. First up, there are 4 new Pot De Creme shades (Soda Pop, Lemon Tart, Forest Fairy, and Sweet Dreams). The Diamond Shart newbies are Standing Ovation and Cake. All of these liquid eyeshadows are $10 each.

The two new eyeshadow palettes, the Happy palettes, are as different as night and day. I Am Feeling Sweet is all about neutral glam while You Make Me Happy is all about colorful eye-catching looks. Both palettes are $25 or bundled together as the Happiest & Sweetest bundle for $45. All products are up for grabs on Kimchi Chic’s site.

90’s Baby Cosmetics released its first-ever lashbook. Inspired and named after the movie Clueless, the Clueless Lashbook contains 10 lash styles ranging from natural to dramatic. Grab the lashbook for $60 on the brand’s site.

Morphe stole the spotlight with the Main Event collection. The collection features the 24M Main Event palette ($29), Lip Crayon Trio ($19), and a brush set from makeup artist mmmMitchell called Bring The Beat ($29). You can grab everything on Morphe’s site.
