This week is a very exciting one, at least for me on a personal note. Not only is my birthday on July 8th, but these new releases are so exciting they deserve some hype!
Ulta Beauty launched a collection honoring the renowned artist Frida Kahlo on July 5th. The collection features florals embellished on the black and red packaging with Ms. Kahlo’s face centered on each product. The collection includes 3 matte liquid lipstick shades ($10 each), Brow Master palette ($15), floral headband ($18), a brush set ($30), cosmetic bag ($20), blush+bronzer duo palette (2 versions; $12 each), liquid illuminator ($10), face primer ($15), and a signature box with an eyeshadow palette ($30). The Frida Kahlo collection is available online or in Ulta stores.
Zinzun Cosmetics launched a beautiful and inspirational palette called La Cultura on July 5th. The founder, Krystal, found inspiration from her father and his mission to provide a better life for his family by immigrating from Mexico. La Cultura features 21 shades (12 mattes, 7 glitters, and 2 shimmers) and costs $21 but is $18 when a sale hits so regularly check Zinzun’s site.
Nyx Cosmetics is accentuating our eyes with two new products! First is the mascara, On The Rise Volume Liftscara (say that 5 times fast!). This newbie costs $11. Then achieve Instagram-worthy brows with the Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomade Pencil ($11). Both products are available on Nyx’s website.
Black Radiance is making melanin pop with their Color Perfect Highlighting Powders. There are four shades suitable for most skin tones; shade names are Moonlit Glow (fair), Gilded Glow (tan/medium), Twilight Glow (medium to dark), and Sunkissed Glow (dark to deep). The powders are available online for $8.49 each.
Makeup Revolution went glam with the Colour Focus Collection and I love it. There are two palettes, Earth & Stone and Night & Day, and cost $20 each. Earth & Stone features earthy shades with pops of gold/bronze. Night & Day is all about sultry looks for a night out.
Then to quench thirst during the hot weather, MUR launched their Gotta Hydrate water bottles. The bottles can hold both hot and cold drinks to the tune of 500mL of liquid. There are 5 styles and the bottles are $22.
The palettes and bottles are up for grabs online.
BBS Cosmetics is calling all bosses with the Beauty Boss palette. Nine vibrant shades and stunning vintage artwork, this palette costs $23 and is available on the brand’s site.
Glam Vice Cosmetics has some new lash styles+upgraded packaging! The new lashes are silk and come in 10 styles for $12 each.
After the lashes, we were spoiled with 12 nude lipstick shades, comfortably making their way into the Vivid Matte line. The lipsticks are $13 each and, as the lashes, are on Glam Vice’s site.
Milani Cosmetics popped up with three new palettes as part of their Gilded collection. Two of the palettes, Jade and Violet, are sold exclusively at Walmart while Ember is on Amazon. Alternately, you can purchase all three palettes on Milani’s website.
