Worthy of the Stars

We all know the 12 zodiac/star signs: Taurus, Cancer, Libra, Sagittarius, etc. But we are finally being given a physical representation of our signs through the upcoming indie brand Zodiac Cosmetics. Launching on July 4th with pre-orders starting on June 21, this brand intends to give us products worthy of the stars.

The CEO/founder of the brand is Lisa Howard, a military veteran, and MUA; she researched the zodiac and other galaxy terms to ensure all the products were accurately described and represented. She curated every part of the collection with intense dedication and the upcoming products reflect that.

There is an eyeshadow palette for each zodiac sign with the exception of Gemini, which has two packaging styles with the male version celebrating Pride month. The palettes are $29.99 each and feature 12 shades with a fair blend of neutrals and pops of color. I love the inclusivity shown through the packaging; models of different ethnicities are represented and I am thankful to Lisa for showing that diversity matters.

Following the eyeshadow palettes are the Stardust Highlighters, $12 each. The two shades are named Apollo and Zeus, Gods in Greek mythology. The names certainly fit the highlighters. Apollo is a silvery shade, great for light skin tones while Zeus is a beautiful gold suited for deeper complexions.

There are also Galaxy Dust Multi-Chrome pigments in four shades: Andromeda (blue-green), Hydra (blue-purple-pink), Tucana (yellow-orange-red), and Ursa (green-purple-pink). Each pigment is $16.

Last but certainly not least is the brush set, described by the brand’s PR team as being very soft. The Cloud Soft set has 10 brushes (5 face, 5 eyes) and costs $25.

I am so excited to have a brand that actually focuses on the galaxy and the zodiac because there are brands that try the zodiac theme but have something missing. I think Lisa nailed the concept and created gorgeous products. Be sure to check Zodiac Cosmetics out via their website or their Facebook or Instagram pages. I pre-ordered the Virgo palette, the brush set, and the Zeus highlighter so be sure to follow The Trendy Wallet and also follow me on social media (links in sidebar).
