Cosmetic Launch Roundup: April 1-7, 2019

April showers… Can you believe it’s April already?! Festival season is starting and that is the recurring theme from most of the brands on the Roundup this week so let’s dive in.

Makeup Revolution launched four new palettes for the Reloaded collection and all four are actually appealing this time! Deep Dive is the cool toned palette you never knew you needed. Red Alert is the resident “hottie” of the group with its warm tones. Hypnotic fulfills any metallic dreams and Smoky Neutrals is the sultry one of the bunch. The palettes cost $7 each and are available online.

Barry M is back with several new products. The Island Hopper palette is giving summer vibes but four shades look too similar for my tastes. If you like what you see, grab the palette for $9. Then there is the That’s Swell! Lip Plumper for $6.50, followed by the Staycation Bronzer for $8. All of Barry M’s products are available on their website.

Menagerie Cosmetics hit a snag earlier this week but smoothed things over with the news that the Whalesong palette is a go! The owner finally got this palette approved through the manufacturer. Unfortunately the palette sold out on pre-orders within a couple hours (I missed it!!) but Sam the owner messaged to say that Whalesong will be back in stock later this month. Stay tuned for the update!

Ulta Beauty is capitalizing on the frenzy surrounding Marvel and the Avengers in a major way. The brand launched the Avengers collection and while I am a DC fan, I can’t resist how cute this collection is. All items are individually sold and the collection includes an eyeshadow palette ($20), highlighting palette ($16), an organizer ($16), weekender bag ($28), 4 lip gloss shades ($10 each), and 4 liquid lipsticks ($10 each). You can grab Marvel Avengers on Ulta’s site.

Colourpop is collaborating once again with musician Becky G! The Salvaje collection was gorgeous and popular so it makes sense that the brand would want to work with the singer again. This time Becky created two limited edition Lux lipsticks: LBD and Fee Fi Fo. Both lipsticks are available on Colourpop’s site and cost $7 each.
