The more indie brands I can support, the better. As usual, I discovered these three brands courtesy of Instagram but the mission or goals of each brand is something I support.

Trend Beauty is the third (and smallest) of Esmeralda Hernandez’s three brands, the other two being Bebella Cosmetics and Beauty Creations. Trend Beauty is the most affordable of the three, with all of their products costing $12.50 each. So far there are only face and eye palettes but here’s to hoping that Esmeralda launches more products.

Since its launch in 2018, the brand has slowly expanded, officially opening their PR list a few days ago and only searching for micro-influencers (which is great). I like the brand because it’s affordable (duh) but also because Esmeralda is willing to take a chance on smaller beauty influencers to promote her products. I mean, $12.50 a palette? I’ll take all of them!

 

Rogue Cosmetics

Started by a makeup addict who grew frustrated with other brands and their lack of inclusivity for all types of artistry, Rogue Cosmetics is one of the brands that truly embraces makeup as an art form instead of seeing only dollar signs. For a small indie brand, it has a nice range of products; eyeshadow palettes and eyeliner, liquid lipsticks, and a bronzer compact. All items are under $26 or less, meaning its affordable and shipping is a flat rate of $5 for US orders and $20.95CAD for Canadian orders. You can check the brand out here.

 

Skinzi Cosmetics 

I love a brand with a mission to help the community and despite just recently discovering this brand, I’m going to buy their products. Skinzi Cosmetics helps victims of domestic violence by donating a portion of their sales to Laura’s House, an organization that helps victims get counseling and anything they need assistance with.

So far the brand has only created four lipsticks but hopefully, the product line will expand and the brand will gain recognition, not only for their cosmetics but also for the invaluable work they put in for the community.
