Welcome to the first #cosmeticlaunchroundup of 2019!!! As you can see by the title, I’ve changed the format for the roundups; I’ll be doing weekly posts due to the frequency of launches and my two-week approach not working. I’ll also update the roundups with any new launches that occur within the same week; an example being if Colourpop drops (another) collaboration this week, I’ll just update this roundup instead of a separate post.
I am so happy it’s 2019 because a new beginning is just what I needed, for my personal and “professional” lives. I’m excited to see what products our favorite indie and drugstore brands will release this year so without further ado, let’s talk about the first week of the new year.
Rimmel London is launching their Wonder Swipe eyeliners on January 1st in CVS stores. These eyeliners have been available in Australia and a few other countries so I’m ecstatic we finally get to try them here in the States.
Lurella Cosmetics is launching their newest palette and first release of 2019 on January 1st. The On The Edge palette features 36 shades; the left side of the palette reminds me of Rude Cosmetics’ latest “book” of eyeshadows. Anyway, On The Edge costs $24 and launched on January 1, 2019!
BH Cosmetics is launching their Travel series on January 2nd. Based on the teaser on the brand’s Instagram page, they will be launching a trio of palettes based on cities like Tokyo, Honolulu or Maui, and London. We can finally match the shades to the cities when all three palettes become available on January 2nd on BH Cosmetics’ site.
Nyx Cosmetics is preparing a collection called Off Tropic, inspired by downtown LA. The collection drops on January 2nd and as usual, the products will be available starting online and later venturing into stores. With only two pictures to reference I can only tell you that there are eyeshadow palettes and highlighters in the collection but stay tuned for updates.
Oh and Nyx also launched their Can’t Stop Won’t Stop concealers on January 1st. The CSWS foundation launched back in August so this concealer is expanding the line. There are 24 shades and the concealer is available online or in Ulta stores.
Kaleido Cosmetics is launching their Diamond Foils eyeshadows but a launch date has not been given. Hopefully we see these beautiful shadows soon!
Rude Cosmetics attempted to sneak their new palette into a picture with all of their Cocktail Party palettes, but I squinted and found this beauty. The Margarita palette will have 6 shades and is due to be released soon… Hopefully sooner rather than later because I bought a couple of the Cocktail Party palettes and I really like them.
It already looks like 2019 will be a colorful year based on the products coming out this week. Last year saw a lot of matte products or warm-toned palette releases but I am more than ready to see cool toned palettes take over and cream formula lipsticks because I am over mattes. What are you hoping to see from the beauty industry this year?
Don’t miss a single post this year because I have a lot of content and fun stuff planned. Subscribe for updates and giveaway news (like the Valentine’s giveaway next month) and also follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest! Welcome to 2019.
