Definite Purchases (August 2018)

There are already so many products that have been launched and we are just now in the middle of August. I made a list of products that I plan to splurge on this month. Some of these will be reviewed here on the blog; just let me know in the comments which product catches your eye.

Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection– I have written about this collection since the news first broke in early June. Then the collection was delayed, reannounced, and was finally released today (August 14). But after much consideration, I am only buying two of the four palettes included in the collection. I feel like the palettes Armed & Gorgeous and Ring the Alarm have similar shades to every other palette that was released over the summer.

Ring The Alarm
The two palettes that I will be purchasing, Dark Magic and Bling Boss, have unique themes and colors so I’m curious to see how they look for my skin tone. If you are of a lighter/fairer skin tone, there are several beauty gurus on Youtube who have received the Vault in PR packages and have swatched the palettes.

Rude Cosmetics Au Naturel and Whatever Forever palettes- I am all for indie brands and I love Rude Cosmetics. When I saw their Au Naturel palette, I was immediately draw in by the pastel shades mixed with the bolder, darker shades. It is a diverse palette that I will be using for a long time.
Au Naturel palette $19
Then Rude played on my love for the movie Clueless and launched the palette Whatever Forever. Oh my word! Honestly this is more like an impulse buy because the packaging, the colors, everything about the palette is glamorous. I mean, it’s Clueless and $18. What can you do? *shrugs*
BH Cosmetics Liquid Linen liquid lipsticks- No explanation needed. If you love lipsticks then you understand where I am coming from. Did I mention that these are $7 each?

Nyx Cosmetics Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation- I covered all the details in an previous article but essentially Nyx is launching 45 shades of foundation. Since I am pretty much guaranteed to find my shade I plan to purchase it.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Concealer– these were launched a couple weeks ago and I have had my eye on them. This purchase would be for review purposes only as some reviews claim that this bunch of concealers are more suited for oily skin while the original Conceal and Define worked well with my normal to dry skin.

Another Makeup Revolution purchase are the new additions to the ever-popular Chocolate collection. Revolution launched the four new palettes (Macaroons, Cotton Candy, Lemon Drizzle, and Galactic) last week and the amount of people buying the palettes is astounding. Each palette is $15.
Out of the four, I am really drawn to the Macaroon palette for its dreamy blue shades and complementary colors and I am also intrigued by the Galactic palette. I know that I’ll end up getting all of them eventually but definite purchasing both the Macaroons and Galactic palettes soon.
