Ah, celebrities. The glamor, wealth, intrigue, scandals… I could continue but I won’t. One thing that has caught my attention is how many celebs are creating their own cosmetic lines. Rihanna gave beauty gurus something to scream about with Fenty Beauty. Kylie Jenner has amassed a huge fortune starting out with lip kits for Kylie Cosmetics. But as you know, here at The Trendy Wallet we like affordable things so we’re putting the spotlight on celeb-owned brands that are budget-friendly.
If you are a fan of watching movies, you probably have heard of Drew Barrymore. She’s an actress, author, model, etc. She’s appeared in movies like Scream, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and many more. Drew took a step back from acting to raise her two daughters, Olive and Frankie but she is in the public eye again due to acting in the show Santa Clarita Diet and running her cosmetic brand Flower Beauty. Launched in 2014, Flower Beauty seeks to provide “prestige quality and affordable prices” (according to their website). Drew has been vocal about helping women feel good their own skin and feeling confident. The brand advocates for beauty being affordable because most people in the US make minimum wage or slightly less.
The brand is inclusive, with many of the products having a nice range of shades and finishes for different makeup preferences/needs. The brand currently offers makeup, fragrances, and accessories like brushes and cosmetic bags. Most of the items cost less than $20 so if you are going to spend your money on a celeb-owned line, go for Flower Beauty.

These are just a few of the makeup brands that celebrities have launched and I am always on the lookout for others. Let me know if I missed any brands and which I should have included.
